The McPhee family became official on August 6th, 2005 as Heather and I were married in Portland, OR aboard the Crystal Dolphin yacht. We currently reside in Portland with our daughter, Hadley; 2 dogs, Patrick & Izzy; and 2 cats, Jinx & Fiona.
I work in the search engine marketing field, which is as fascinating and exciting as it sounds…seriously, it is. I work for a company called Anvil Media where I service a number of clients, many of which are within the travel/tourism industry. The search engine marketing industry as a whole is very new, and only up until a few years ago did companies actually realize they need to rank well in the search engines if their business was to continue growing. That’s where my company comes in. Through numerous tactics and techniques, we are able to get websites to rank higher within the search engine results. Without going into any detail, that’s as simple as I can put it. My job is very confusing to most, and most of my family and friends call me Chandeler (for those of you that watched Friends back in the day) as they have really no idea what I do all day. My mother thinks I build websites - sorry mom, not even close.
Heather is the General Manager at an all-male salon called HairM where she watches over the majority of the salon’s operations, is the resident computer nerd, payroll specialist and makes bi-weekly runs to everyone’s favorite retail establishment, Costco. She’s kind of the “jack of all trades” as she has input on everything from the employee manual to retail promotions.
Hadley was born on January 30th, 2008. She is the light of our lives and we are enjoying being parents, though Hadley likes to test our patience at times.
Patrick, Izzy, Jinx & Fiona are all relaxation experts; well, Izzy is still in training as she’s a bit of a spaz.
