I came across this blog that posed the “What if” question. So, what if certain search engine marketing industry experts mated? What would their offspring look like?
These photos make me want to throw up a bit, but thought it was good for a laugh. You don’t even have to understand how to properly optimize a [...]

Just a little tidbit from our birthing class…
Posted in McPhee Family on October 31, 2007 | No Comments »
Last night we talked all about interventions during birth. It included forceps delivery, vacuum extractor, episiotomy, epidural, systemic analgesics, etc…
I’m deathly afraid of an episiotomy and we learned that each doctor is a little different in how often they do them. Some do them routinely, some only if necessary. I turned to John and whispered “I [...]
Stupid glucose test!
Posted in Baby McPhee, McPhee Family on October 30, 2007 | 2 Comments »
I got a call from the nurse today and I “failed” the glucose test. Basically everyone must take the screening test at 28 weeks (which is what we took yesterday) to see if they need to be tested further for Gestational Diabetes. I was barely above the acceptable level of 140 at a 148.
I need to be at the hospital lab [...]
Fantasy Football Madness
Posted in Fantasy Football, NFL Football on October 29, 2007 | No Comments »
Tonight’s Monday Night Football game was an important one in my world of fantasy football. As I’ve mentioned before, I’m not having a particularly strong showing this year as I sit in 6th place with a 3-3-1 record. As of today I’d at least make the playoffs, but it’s still a pretty dismal year.
Anyway, going [...]
28 week appointment
Posted in Baby McPhee, McPhee Family on October 29, 2007 | 2 Comments »
Today we had our 28 week appointment with Dr. Cohen. Everything is going well so far and I’m growing right on track. It is normal to have gained between 17 and 24 pounds at this point, and I’m up 16 pounds from pre-pregnancy. I look like I’m smuggling a Thanksgiving turkey under [...]
One, two, three strikes…Couvade

Couvade (kü-ˈväd) is defined by Wikipedia as a common but poorly understood phenomenon whereby the expectant father experiences apparently physical symptoms during the pregnancy for which there is no recognized physiological basis. Symptoms commonly include indigestion, increased or decreased appetite, weight gain, diarrhea or constipation, headache, and toothache…

Our Beach Trip
Posted in McPhee Family, Portland on October 28, 2007 | No Comments »
This past weekend Heather, Izzy, Patrick and I headed out to the coast for a little R & R. Heather keeps calling it a “Babymoon”, but I refuse. She’s read that’s what other pregnant women call it when you take what is most likely your final “getaway” before the baby comes. I don’t care for [...]
…And we’re crowning
Posted in Baby McPhee, McPhee Family on October 24, 2007 | 6 Comments »
I thought I’d write a quick post about last night’s class while it’s still fresh in my mind. Unfortunately, I think the image of some baby crowning has been permanently burned into my brain.
My fears were realized last night when we watched not only one, but two birthing videos. The first video showed a no [...]
Who’s up for a birthing video?
Posted in Baby McPhee, McPhee Family on October 23, 2007 | No Comments »
It’s our 3rd birthing class tonight, and I believe we will be watching a birthing video. This is what I’ve been dreading since we signed up for the class. I know that sounds awful, as birth is supposed to be this beautiful experience, and I’m sure it is. My only problem with it is, it’s [...]
Fantasy Football Update

7 weeks have passed and I find myself in the middle of the pack in 6th place. I’m holding on to the last playoff spot as of right now, but things aren’t looking very good. My team certainly hasn’t performed like I hoped they would. I do have a few bright spots, well one for [...]
