My fantasy football dynasty ended last year after I failed miserably to 4-peat as Fantasy Football ‘Champion of the Universe’. Yes, that’s actually the title. I didn’t just make that up. It’s time for me to step down and let some of these younger players shine.
My first week I played Heather’s team, the Ed Hochuli Fan Club. Personally, I think she has the best team name in our league. Ed Hochuli is an NFL referee (pictured to the right). He’s about 60 years old, and is built like a brick house. Whenever he’s the referee, Heather will begin to giggle and point out that “he’s stacked”, as she likes to say. Seriously though, he is stacked. Check out Ed performing the seated dumbbell press – hilarious.
This year I told Heather that I would provide some pointers when asked, but I wasn’t going to run her team like I did last year for the most part (she won the league last year – so technically, I did 4-peat, but I can’t count that). So this year she sat down with me and drafted her team. I gave a few pointers, but she chose every single person on her team – and man did she creamed me in week 1. The score was 79-53. I had the 2nd lowest point total of the week. This is not a good start. Let’s hope next week gets better.
