We have our appointment today where we’ll review the ultrasound images with our doctor to ensure the baby is healthy and doing well. After last week’s little scare, but the eventual “clean bill of health” from the radiologist, we’re hoping there aren’t any surprises.
Our little girl is now able to hear sounds outside of the [...]

Ever wondered what kind of crazy urinals you can find in other countries? Me either, but take a look these.
Miss Teen South Carolina Update
Posted in Zany/Miscellaneous on August 27, 2007 | 2 Comments »
I’ve just received some “inside” information about the Miss Teen USA Pageant, and apparently they aren’t called “beauty pageants” anymore, as they are supposed to focus more on their poise and knowledge.
Well holy shit, are you serious? Miss Teen South Carolina got 3rd place! After an answer like that, how does one place 3rd? That [...]
I’m more stupider for listening to Miss Teen South Carolina

Take a listen to this well thought out answer from Miss Teen South Carolina as to why 1/5 of all Americans can’t locate the US on a world map. She makes very valid points:
If you’re one of those Americans without a map, it would sure be hard for you to locate the US now [...]

After a restless night last night we went back to the hospital this morning at 7:30am for another ultrasound to check on the baby’s stomach. We were a little anxious but once we got in there, rest assured they could zero in on her little tummy right away! As soon as they put the gel [...]
It’s a……….

We found out today that we are having a little girl! We were so excited when we found out. I started crying and let it slip that I was secretly hoping for the fairer gender and John just said “I know honey”.
Our ultrasound technician was very nice and explained what she was showing [...]
Today’s the big day

Today Heather and I find out the sex of that thing growing inside of her. Neither of us have a preference. Just as long as it isn’t a little alien or monkey, well, a little mon-chee-chee might be kind of cool, though we’d have a hard time raising it when it’s sitting up in a [...]
59 year old makes the team

Check out this story. Awesome.
How weird would that be to see a 59 year old linebacker staring across at you, just waiting to hit you like a ton of bricks. Sounds like he’s in good enough shape, but realistically, how much can this guy play? I may have to follow this story through the season.
My most embarrassing moment of the day…

Every other Tuesday I take a couple of hours in the afternoon to run errands for the salons. Mainly I run to Costco, Fred Meyer and the liquor store. At HairM we serve cocktails to our “members”. To be a member, you pay $425 and your haircuts are paid for a full [...]
Wilco at Edgefield tonight
Posted in McPhee Family, Music, Portland on August 22, 2007 | 4 Comments »
Tonight Heather, Brian, Kara, Scott, Jen and I are going to see Wilco play at a venue called Edgefield, which is a converted poor farm. Built in 1911, people use to live on the poor farm and raise hogs, poultry, fruits & vegetables, etc. Back then it was called the Multnomah County Poor Farm, and [...]
